The traditions of sportsmanship, fellowship and fun, which guided past generations of bowlers, many of whom achieved distinction at the provincial and national levels, have continued unchanged by the passage of time.

All Night LAWN
Another successful “All Night Lawn” took place last Friday night. Over 72 guests joined in the fun of two lawn bowling games being manned by 14 club volunteers. Our final “All Night Lawn”, the Mayor’s office fundraiser for Markham Stouffville Hospital , will take place Friday August 11th at 6.30pm. If you haven’t joined in the fun yet, sign up ! Mary Davidson will be posting the sign up sheet in the clubhouse soon.
SEPTEMBER BANQUET
We had a 50% response to the survey we sent for the yearend celebration. Of those responses, 75% would like the banquet at Mill Run Golf Course in Uxbridge on Durham Road 8. I will be booking the golf course venue and planning the event for Wednesday September 27th. Last year we had 80 people come out and enjoy a wonderful evening.
Don’t miss probably the last opportunity you will have this bowling season to spend time with your friends and enjoy an evening out. Cost will be $35 for chicken or vegetarian, $40 for steak ( includes subsidy from club). Guests of members $10 more per meal chosen.

You can become a member of the Stouffville Lawn Bowling Club. We offer bowler training and will team you up with an “experienced” mentor bowler.
