Coming up on Thursday June 30th is the Strawberry Festival Tournament with mixed teams of  3 and the opportunity to take on other clubs.  We always have strawberries and ice cream in the afternoon and cake made and donated by Stouffville Creek Retirement Residence.  Make sure you pack your lunch and enjoy lunch on our new outdoor patio and porch.  Entry fee is $15 and sponsor prize money is $400 ( Royal LePage and Anonymous).  Sign up in the clubhouse  is filling up so make sure you secure a spot.
We are still in need of a convenor /drawmaster for the ladies luncheon on Thursday July 28th 2022.  If  you can help with this please let me know.
All the club tape measures are sold, however, BOB and JEANNE Christie has a few for sale at $30 if you need one.
Manager of  recreational facilities was by earlier in the week and the Town is finished with the outside of the club for now with only two notice boards outstanding for either side of the club.   I was told that work inside the clubhouse will be done now once the season is over in late September.  The Town’s plan, at this point, is to redo the whole clubhouse including washrooms, kitchen and flooring throughout (which is already bought and in storage)  ,  If you would like to submit any ideas, I can submit a wish list to the Town and see if they can incorporate the suggestion in the master plan which they are keeping hush hush at the moment..
Lyndsey McCollam has been seen wearing a name tag that she made. She has offered to make one for anyone who would like to purchase one.  Please contact her directly.
Bill McCollam is hosting a seminar for any bowler thinking of participating competitively in tournaments on Tuesday June 21st at the clubhouse at 7pm. This is open to all members of the club.  Bill is our Provincial Men’s Single Novice Champion.
This tournament is being held at our club on July 2nd and 3rd and is for Novice Bowler ( less than 5years bowling experience) Fours (2 men/2 women) .  The notice is posted on the blackboard in the clubhouse along with other District 11 playdowns.  Please contact Bill McCollam if you need more information as he is vice-chair of District 11.
